Rosette Bows to Top Off Your Ornament

When planning your ornament project, consider two types of rosette bow styles for the top: Figure Eight Rosette and Stacked Rosette.

Figure 8 Rosette

This is my personal favorite. The bow is formed when you pin a piece of ribbon into two loops in a figure eight and then fan them around the center point—layering them one on top of the other until you achieve the desired fullness. You may recognize this style by the up-twist of the loops. I’ve always used this style of bow for my ornaments.

Here is my instructional video on how to make the figure 8 rosette bow.

Stacked Rosette

Another popular way of making a rosette bow is the Stacked Rosette. This bow is made by folding and stacking long pieces of ribbon onto the pin. Since I’m not an expert in making this type of bow, I will let my friend Miranda show you how to do it.

Which kind of bow do you prefer? Is there another method I missed?
